Volunteers creating welcome kits

Volunteers from the Middleton facility created welcome kits for The Road Home. The Road Home works to transition families living in shelters or without a place to stay into stable housing. During the next 2 to 3 months, The Road Home will be able to facilitate housing for 72 families. This is a huge step forward, but many of the families will be starting without the essentials for running a household. The Business Volunteer Network, part of the United Way of Dane County, sponsored the purchase of the materials needed for kitchen, bath and cleaning kits.

As a BVN member organization, a small group from Springs Window Fashions helped assemble kits. In addition, The Road Home has an Amazon Wish List to help provide families with bedding and towels that ship directly to The Road Home for distribution.

Springs Window Fashions is proud to be a part of this large-scale project, a first for BVN and UWDC implemented within the challenges of 2020.
